Artworks exhibited at 36Fuji (1st)

I used voxel art to create a cityscape that begins to regain its color as the snow melts from winter to spring.

I hope that the pandemic that has been going on since last year will be brought under control as soon as possible, and that the world will be enveloped in a peaceful everyday life.

All houses seem to have the same shape, but they are all a little different, and I hope you can imagine the "life" of each of them.

Comments on 36FUJI(1st) participation

It was a great opportunity for me to connect with wonderful artists. I was able to feel each artist's "attitude" and "thoughts" toward art, and I feel that I will be able to utilize this for my own future.

Message to 36 Fuji(2nd) participant

Regardless of your experience or skill level, I hope you will participate in this event if you are willing to try anything.

Interview

Q: How did you get interested in art and NFT?

I've always been a terrible artist. I've always liked doodling, but I'm not really good at drawing. I've always wanted to be a doodler, but I couldn't keep up with my skills or make enough effort, so I didn't go into the art field.

Even so, I've always been interested in visual-related work, and I'm currently working mainly in editorial design, doing layouts for magazines and flyers. However, when it comes to artwork, I can use Adobe Illustrator, but if someone asks me to draw an illustration with it, I'm at a loss. As it is, I've reached middle age (laughs).

It was in the spring of this year that I first encountered voxel art. It all started when I happened to see a news report on an IT-related website that digital art such as beeple and CryptoPunks were selling very well, and I learned that they were called NFT. In Japan, pioneers such as "mera takeru" are working hard. I thought, "Wow, I didn't know this kind of world existed," but then I thought, "But I don't know how to draw.
